Our Trouser Block Workshop is a fun and productive day aimed at those who have experience in sewing. You will be spending the day sewing with others in our studio space surrounded by beautiful fabrics, while learning and developing your skills.
During the Trouser Block workshop you will begin by taking a thorough set of measurements to then create a trouser block tailored to your body. This will eliminate the need to make fit adjustments to a pattern as you will have your own unique block to start from and create your own patterns.
We will sew a toile of your block after completing it to ensure it has the correct fit and talk through adjustments you can make to create your own patterns.
Experience: This workshop is aimed at those who have experience sewing and have a thorough understanding of how patterns are put together, especially trousers.
Supplies: You will need to bring your own sewing machine and tools (scissors, pins, etc). You will be able to purchase haberdashery items, fabric and patterns on the day if you will require.
Pattern paper, calico and curved ruler will be provided.
Group size: There will be space for up to 6 people to attend this workshop.
Time: this is a 1day course:
Friday12pm -6pm including breaks. Sunday 10am - 5pm including breaks
Location: Lamazi Fabrics Studio located in the centre of Horsham in West Sussex
We will provide tea/coffee, fruits and other snacks during breaks.

About the teacher
Our sewing workshops are taught by Sharlene, our sewing expert who has over 4 years of experience teaching all types and levels of sewing classes. Sharlene studied Fashion Management at university and has a wealth of knowledge to share. She is also sewing all kinds of garments and drafts her own patterns.
