We are so excited to present the perfect Ponte Roma collection from Meet Milk fabrics, who are known for their most beautiful, luxurious, sustainable, wearable and lovable fabrics.
Ponte is a double knit jersey with firm stretch and excellent recovery. It is heavier than a usual jersey knits due to its double knit nature and also due to dense texture.
Did you now that a real Ponte Roma always contains 20-30% nylon, as this is the fiber that is required to bind the two layers and achieve the characteristic staple stretch. Most other ponte qualities are made from viscose or polyester fibres, but this one is made from TENCEL Lyocell fibers - so it is not just gorgeous to look at and touch, it is also made from sustainable fibers.
Ponte is perfect for skirts, dresses, trousers and tops, where you need a heavier, but still soft, knitted fabric with a firm and staple stretch and the ability to stay in shape.
Solid Ponte is part of our sustainable collection from ‘meet MILK’. meetMILK fabrics containing TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres are a perfect choice of fabric for making clothes to love forever and toy wear again and again. Clothes that are not only right for you, but also right for the environment. TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres have gained a commendable reputation for their award winning and environmentally responsible closed loop production process, which transforms wood pulp into cellulosic fibers with high resource efficiency and low ecological impact. TENCEL™ branded Lyocell fibers are known for their natural comfort and luxurios soft touch.
