This oversized coat makes a statement with its striking volume and graphic lines. The large collar fastens with a single button, instantly giving the design its character. The side seams run diagonally towards the front, while the seams on the front panel run diagonally towards the side seams, creating a surprising interplay of lines. At the back, a high centre-back split runs diagonally towards the side seams. The sleeves feature zipped pockets, an unexpected detail that gives the design an extra rugged touch. Pockets in the side seams complete the look.

This coat calls for a fabric with sufficient body to showcase the oversized silhouette and distinctive lines. Think of wool or a wool blend, sturdy gabardine, jacquard or a technical coat fabric. (Faux) leather also suits the distinctive character of the design. It's best to avoid a thin or sheer fabric: a little extra sturdiness will help the large collar and diagonal seams stand out.
