Part-time Studio Assistant
We are looking for a new Studio Assistant to join our friendly team here at Lamazi Fabrics in Horsham, United Kingdom.

Hours: Monday and Thursday 9.30am - 4pm with 1 hour paid lunch break. Plus potential for additional flexible working hours during a week.
Salary: £12.00 p/h plus benefits
Probation period: 6 months
Location: Lamazi Studio in Horsham, 6 Brighton Road, RH13 5BB

We are looking for an enthusiastic Studio Assistant with friendly, professional and responsible attitude. The ideal candidate will enjoy being helpful, have a hands-on can-do attitude and be self-motivated. They will have attention to detail, be organised and a good communicator. Successful candidate with the required experience will have the opportunity to grow into this role and get promoted to manage studio and teams below.
Day to day role requirements:
- Processing and fulfilment of orders: cutting fabrics straight for orders, folding neatly and packing to our standards.
- Inventory management: keeping stock up to date and adding new stock to the website.
- Quality control: checking and highlighting any issues /faults during processing orders and managing them.
- Cutting samples.
- Processing remnants: measuring and adding them to the website.
- Keeping shelves and studio tidy.
- Customer service: Assisting customers during studio visits and open days.
- Occasionally assisting at the trade events.
- Moving rolls and bolts of fabric and being able to work on their feet most of the day.
- Assisting with receiving and processing new deliveries.
Essential Skills:
- Accountability
- Creativity
- Attention to detail and accuracy when processing orders.
- Computer literacy with good understanding of using Microsoft programs and ability to learn to use Shopify.
- Organised, tidy, efficient and punctual.
- Ability to lift heavy rolls of fabrics.
- Flexible and enthusiastic to take on additional duties to help the business.
- Customer Service experience (in person and on the phone)
- Aptitude for development, learning new skills and growth into higher level role.
Other highly desired skills but not essential at start:
- Knowledge and experience of textiles and sewing
- Knowledge of Shopify, Royal Mail and DHL system platforms
- Product photography, video editing and general photography experience
- Photoshop and Illustrator proficiency
- Data entry experience
