Christmas Pyjama Set Workshop
Making Christmas Pyjama set Workshop is a fun and productive day aimed at all levels of experience, as long as you can use the sewing machine. You will be spending the day sewing with others in our studio space surrounded by beautiful fabrics, while learning and developing your skills.
Why not have a go at a fun Christmassy sewing project and join us for our Christmas Pyjamas workshop. We will be making the Pyjama bottoms in a woven fabric and a T-shirt to match in jersey fabric. This is a great project for anyone who has started to sew but wants to take their skills to the next level by making first trousers and a jersey garment too in one day.
Our teacher will guide you through the patterns and help you to make the relevant adjustments such as grading or lengthening the pattern to make the Pyjamas fit you well. Learn how to make the simple t-shirt and learn a new skill in sewing with stretch fabric.
You could even make the set as a gift for your nearest and dearest!

Make Your Own Trouser Block
Our Trouser Block Workshop is a fun and productive day aimed at those who have experience in sewing. You will be spending the day sewing with others in our studio space surrounded by beautiful fabrics, while learning and developing your skills.
During the Trouser Block workshop you will begin by taking a thorough set of measurements to then create a trouser block tailored to your body. This will eliminate the need to make fit adjustments to a pattern as you will have your own unique block to start from and create your own patterns.
We will sew a toile of your block after completing it to ensure it has the correct fit and talk through adjustments you can make to create your own patterns.
Experience: This workshop is aimed at those who have experience sewing and have a thorough understanding of how patterns are put together, especially trousers.
Supplies: You will need to bring your own sewing machine and tools (scissors, pins, etc). You will be able to purchase haberdashery items, fabric and patterns on the day. Pattern paper, calico and curved ruler will be provided.
Sewing with Stretch / Jersey Fabrics
Does sewing with jersey or knit fabrics challenge you? Our Sewing with Stretch Workshop is aimed at dispelling all the myths and horror stories surrounding sewing with stretchy fabrics. Once you know how to work with this fabric you will love whipping up a quick and easy sweatshirt or t-shirt.
During this workshop you will learn the techniques you need to master sewing with different types of stretch fabrics, including different stitches and needle types, and will make your own Billie Sweatshirt.
You will be spending the afternoon sewing with others in our studio space surrounded by beautiful fabrics, while learning and developing your skills.
Experience: This workshop is for all levels of sewists, from beginners to experienced (as long as you can use a sewing machine).
Supplies: You will need to bring your own prewashed fabric (french terry or fleecy fabric and ribbing), sewing machine and tools (scissors, pins, etc). You can shop our range of sweatshirt fabrics here. The pattern and needles for stretch fabric will be included in the price of the workshop.
You will be able to purchase other haberdashery items, fabric and patterns on the day.
Group size: there will be space for up to 6 people to attend this workshop. This is an ideal number for you to enjoy company while sewing and also ensure that everyone will have plenty of time with Sharlene. There is a requirement for a minimum of 4 students to attend for the class to go ahead.
Time: 9am -1pm including a tea / coffee break.
Location: Lamazi Fabrics Studio located in the centre of Horsham in West Sussex
We will provide *tea/coffee & treats.
