Crepe Sewing Fabrics
Crêpe or crape is a silk, viscose, wool, or synthetic fibre-based fabric with a distinctively crisp, crimped appearance and graceful drape. It can be thin and sheer, fine and opaque, or even heavy and is widely used for making fashionable garments.
Depending on the weight of Crepe fabric, it can be used for dresses, tops, blouses, camisoles and soft jackets.
It is advisable to cover cutting table with a cotton sheet to prevent Crepe from slipping, cut in single layer and use sharp scissors. Use standard size machine needle with a stitch length of 2.5 mm and a good quality thread.
