Johanna is a long jean with partial seams in the front and back and a flat piece at the back, for a perfect fit and nice shaping. Thanks to the partial seams, the pattern pieces are smaller, ideal for giving old jeans or leftovers from other projects a second life. Additional eye-catchers include typical jeans details such as the watch pocket, pointed back pockets and a straight waistband with belt loops and bow ribbon.

Fabric recommendations:
Jeans is the fabric of choice for this model, but also (ribbed) velvet, twill cotton, woven jacquard... with or without stretch are suitable for Johanna. Avoid fabrics that are too supple and opt for sturdier materials. Leather can also give a nice effect. Do you have a long, narrow strip of fabric left over from a previous project? Perfect for cutting out the side panels!
