Nisa is a high quality softened linen offering classic benefits of breathability and crispiness of a good quality linen. It has medium weight and will make all types of garments or accessories. It is ideal for shirts, tunics, dresses and trousers for your Spring / Summer wardrobe.
It is advisable to wash this fabric before sewing. Even though it has been pre-shrunk in the manufacturing process, it will shrink a little more in the first wash. It also becomes softer and softer with time, when washed and used.
This linen is Mill Washed, highly environmentally responsible method that involves mechanical softening process, without any use of emzymes, chemical substances or the waste of water unlike stone-washed linens requiring large amount of water.
The fibres in Nisa Softened Linen is certified according to European Flax® standard. Certified European Flax® fibre is produced exclusively in France, Belgium, or the Netherlands.
The EUROPEAN FLAX® Charter, signed by all the Flax producers, guarantees local farming that respects the environment and commits to zero irrigation, zero GMO, and zero waste. Fibre extraction (scutching) is 100% mechanical meaning zero chemicals are used in the process.
The fabric is furthermore certified according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®
