Kiva really comes into its own in fabrics with sufficient body, so that the pleats retain their shape. Consider gabardine, twill cotton, stonewashed poplin, paper- or nylon-touch poplin, corduroy or denim for a more pronounced silhouette. Prefer a softer look? Then opt for supple fabrics such as viscose crepe, linen, modal or a supple gabardine made from bamboo, wool or lyocell. Nylon also gives Kiva a contemporary twist.
