This kit contains all supplies you will need to make an outfit in our new favourite The Canyon Top by Friday Pattern Co. in our exclusive Vintage linen viscose fabric and Hussard jeans by Maison Fauve in Cousette soft cotton Denim. You have the choice to choose denim in Navy, Bright Blue, Toffee, Cappuccino and Mahogany colours.

Pattern Information
The Canyon Dress and Top is a breezy, versatile sewing pattern, designed to make you feel comfortable and cute as you swish through the world. It features a band collar, and v-neckline finished with a placket. There is gathering along the front and back yoke seams, giving it a nice amount of ease. The pattern includes options for long sleeves finished at the wrist with elastic, or short sleeves that hit mid bicep. This is a pull on pattern with no zippers or buttons. The dress view features a comfortable elastic waistband and a tiered skirt with roomy pockets. Pair it with your favourite sweater on an evening stroll or dress it up and wear it on a fancy date!
The Canyon Dress and Shirt is designed for light to mid weight woven fabrics. Fabrics with a bit of drape will give you more of the dressy look, while crisp fabric will give you a classic sundress vibe. Rayon challis, silk, lawn, voile, linen are all great fabrics for this garment.

A Couple Recommendations to Help Pick a Size:
- Choose your starting size based on your full bust measurement.
- When selecting a cup size (B/C or C/D) choose the option closer to the bra cup size that you wear.
Hussard Jeans:
We needed a jean in the Maison Fauve wardrobe. But the HUSSARD pattern is much more than that. Its high-waisted cut hugs the hips, leaves the thighs snug and tightens up on the ankle not to squeeze but on the contrary to slim whilst keeping it comfortable. Sewn in a fabric more precious than just denim, this is a key piece that will be perfect with a little top tucked in. And as usual, the Maison Fauve touch: the very pretty darts that are featured on the pockets, and give a twist to this iconic wardrobe staple.

There are many top stitched areas on your pants, for a "denim" style, don’t be afraid to use a contrasting thread (often in brown tones, bronze to yellow for a blue cotton jean fabric), and widen a little your stitches for the topstitching on the right side of the garment, it's prettier.
Fabric Suggestions
The pattern is made for a fabric without elastane such as denim, a tailored woollen fabric suitable for sewing trousers, a cotton twill, a jacquard (be careful that the reverse side is soft). If you want to sew the garment in a fabric that has a little elastane, do not go over 2% elastane or elastic fibre in the composition and sew a size below the recommended size.

We are thrilled to extend our own range of beautiful, luxurious and sustainable fabrics for dressmaking by adding new luxurious and soft linen viscose blend fabric to our range.
Vintage Lace is part of our 2026 Summer collection. It captures the spirit of treasured textiles, preserving the beauty of vintage craftsmanship. Carefully curated elements, including fragments of antique table linen, a vintage tapestry design and hand drawn sketches of vintage embroideries, come together in a harmonious and intricate composition. The result is a print that exudes warmth, nostalgia and quiet elegance.
The fabric has light to medium weight, soft drape and soft matte texture, offering the best natural qualities of linen and viscose combined together. It is perfect for sewing elegant shirts, blouses, dresses or wide leg summer trousers for the Spring/Summer seasons.

Washing Instructions:
It is advisable to always wash your fabric before sewing as shrinkage will occur when the fabric is first washed. Wash your fabric on a delicate program, temperature max 30°, Gentle spin (max 800 rpm). Do not tumble dry or dry clean. Use brand new, fine Microtex needle as well as new extra fine pins when sewing with viscose.
