Bring Your Own Project - Dressmaking Workshop

Does sewing on your own feel daunting and you feel like you’d benefit from some guidance as and when needed? Our Monthly Dressmaking workshop is ideal if you’d like to sew in a relaxed and supported environment with a small group of like minded people. You can bring your own project or we can help you pick one before the class or on the day.

Your tutor will help you choose the right fabric for your project, give you tips on sewing with the chosen fabric, help you with taking measurements, picking the right size and making adjustments if needed, cutting out and sewing with gentle guidance as needed based on your experience. 

You will be spending the day sewing with just a few others in our studio space surrounded by beautiful fabrics, while learning and developing your skills. 

Experience: This workshop is ideal for complete beginners  to confident beginners and intermediate sewists but all levels are welcome (as long as you can use a sewing machine). 

Supplies: You will need to bring your own supplies and sewing machine. We will supply you with the discount code if you need to purchase the supplies in advance and give you a guidance on what to buy for your chosen project if needed. 

You will need to bring your own sewing machine on the day. Please let us know in advance if you’d like to borrow one of our machines. 

Group size: there will be space for up to 5 people to attend this workshop but the course will go ahead regardless of the group size. This is an ideal number for you to enjoy company while sewing and also ensure that everyone will have plenty of time with your tutor for tips and guidance. 

Time: 10am - 4pm including lunch and tea / coffee break. 

Location: Lamazi Fabrics Studio located in the centre of Horsham in West Sussex

We will provide tea/coffee and snacks. Please bring your own packed lunch.
