Sewing Kit - TATB Nell Blouse in Embroidered Cotton

This kit contains all supplies you will need to make elegant and beautiful Tilly & The Buttons Nell Blouse in floral embroidered cotton.

Megan (@megansewstuff) has made the straight blouse with faux tie bows in the ecru floral embroidered cotton fabric.

What is included in the kit:

- Tilly & The Buttons Nell paper pattern & instructions in sizes 0-20

- 1 matching Gutermann thread

- 0.50cm iron on fusible interfacing

- 7 buttons 10-15mm

- 0.5m plain fabric for sewing facing.

- Fabric in your chosen colour (please choose fabric from the drop-down menu)

Please note that the supplies provided this kit are for the blouse options only. You can make either straight blouse or with a peplum. 

Pattern Information

Meet your new favourite sewing pattern! Nell is a timeless, easy-to-wear blouse and dress that will be on regular rotation in your wardrobe.

Simple to sew, this mix 'n' match pattern includes four blouse and dress options and four sleeve styles to choose from, plus optional patch pockets and choice of button-front style or on-trend tie opening. The only question is which version will you make first?

• Straight blouse, peplum blouse, knee-length or midi-length gathered dress
• Relaxed fit bodice with bust darts
• V neckline finished with a facing
• Choice of button-front opening or faux bow ties with hidden snaps
• Four sleeve options: short and straight, bracelet-length, flutter, or lined puffball
• Optional patch pockets on the bodice or skirt

Fabric Information 

Floral Embroidered Cotton Fabric in White  or Ecru

Unique and beautiful, soft, lightweight cotton voile fabric featuring colourful embroidered flowers in bright pink, mustard yellow and petrol shades on off-white or in autumnal shades on white. It is a perfect fabric for making blouses, shirts and dresses or summer tunics.

This a fabric is lighter in weight compared to cotton poplin or cotton sateen. The embroidered flowers give it more structure. You may consider lining it or using a plain cotton / viscose poplin for sewing facings.

Suitable for:

dresses, skirts, tops, blouses, jumpsuits, shirts, pyjamas and accessories.

Drape: structured 

Care: wash gently on 30 degress, low spinning and with a detergent for delicate fabrics.  Iron on a low setting on the wrong side of the fabric. 

Tip: before sewing/processing, it's recommended to pre-wash your fabric.
