FABRIC SUGGESTIONS - 

For a lightweight trench-style jacket, try cotton twill or gabardine. For a warmer pea-style jacket, use wool or wool-type coating (not too thick).

• For optional welt pockets: 0.3m (⅜yd) cotton lawn or lining fabric 
• Matching thread 
• 20-25mm (¾-1in) wide buttons – 11 for version with epaulettes + sleeve straps, 7 without  
• Iron-on interfacing (90cm / 1yd wide, similar weight to your fabric): Sizes 1-6: 1.3m (1½yd) / Sizes 7-15: 1.4m (1⅝yd)
• Sewing machine and basic tools
