Welcome to our Lamazi Makers Club inspiration for the February Inspire treat, our first one for 2026.
This month we chose two fabrics that we were inspired by. We couldn’t resist looking ahead to the warmer and sunnier seasons and dream about Spring/Summer outfits. On the other hand, we can’t ignore the reality and the fact that we are still in need for warm and cosy sweaters. So for this reason, we offered you two options.
Option 1 is the cutest embroidered cotton fabric, which will help you to create a timeless, beautiful and summery piece.
Option 2 is the warmest sweat-shirting available, which is made from GOTS Organic cotton and a small amount of recycled polyester for extra snugglyness. We are thrilled if you pick both options, as we simply could not resist both of them either!

Embroidered Floral Cotton Voil Fabric in Ecru (top left) and White (bottom right)
The fabric for option 1 comes in two colour-ways, both featuring a stunning floral pattern embroidery in multiple colours. You will have received either a white cotton voil fabric with rust, olive green and lilac coloured embroidered flowers, or an ecru cotton voil fabric with bright pink, mustard and petrol coloured embroidered flowers. It is very lightweight, and semi-sheer, making it the perfect fabric for a breathable summer outfit. In your kit you would have also received a plain matching piece of cotton or viscose poplin for sewing facings or lining the bodice, should you need one.

This fabric is so versatile, whether you choose to make a blouse, like Megan (@megansewstuff) has, a Summer dress, or a floaty skirt - the possibilities are endless.

Megan has made the Tilly & The Buttons Nell blouse in the ecru fabric with the pink, mustard and petrol flowers. She has styled it with dark-wash blue jeans, to match the petrol flowers, and has tucked the blouse in to add a personal touch to it. It is equally elegant worn over the jeans.

Whether you style the blouse made from this fabric with blue jeans for an understated look, or prefer to go bold and match the embroidered flowers, like we have with the mustard Needlecord Ronsard Jeans from Maison Fauve, there are so many beautiful styling possibilities.

If a dress is more your style, maybe this Lise Tailor Flower Market Dress will inspire your next make. Style it with sandals for your summer vacation days, or with trainers for an everyday look. And why not make a jacket to match it, like this Maison Fauve Pilar Jacket for the cooler evenings!

The fabric for option 2 is the snuggliest and the warmest sweat-shirting available. It comes in so many different plain colours (we also have them in patterned leopard print too, available on our website).

Fleeceback Organic Cotton Sweat-shirting fabric, available in multiple colours.
It is made from organic cotton and recycled polyester, it is as ethical and sustainable as a sweater fabric can get, and it is one of the cosiest sweat-shirting fabrics we’ve had! If colourful prints are not your style, but you are looking for something more interesting with character that holds volume, this fabric is perfect for your cosy outfits. You will receive matching ribbing with your sweatshirting, and we have so many pattern ideas for you to choose from!

Named Clothing Aalto Sweatshirt in Sea Pine Fleeceback Sweat-shirting fabric, and Maison Fauve Penelope Skirt in Vintage Patchwork Canyon Clay Viscose Twill fabric.
There are so many style possibilities for these snuggly sweatshirts. We love them in the Named Clothing Aalto Sweatshirt, which we have styled with Maison Fauve’s Penelope Skirt, a perfect outfit for a Spring or Summer evening. This outfit is available in a sewing kit.

True Bias Marlo Cardigan in Organic Fleeceback Sweat-shirting in Bright Blue fabric, with Maison Fauve Cuba Libre Dress in Daisies In Field Viscose fabric.
Or if a dress and cardigan are more your vibe, how about this stunning outfit with the Maison Fauve Cuba Libre Dress in Daisy Viscose paired with the snuggly blue True Bias Marlo Cardigan. This outfit is available in a sewing kit.
Inside the February Inspire bag, you’ll also find a complementary matching Sew-All thread, along with plain cotton for facings, should you need one, for the embroidered fabrics, and a matching Maraflex thread and cuff ribbing for your cosy fabric.
Also included, as a gift for you, is a pack of just-launched sewing labels from Little Rosy Cheeks, and a selection of hand-blended, award winning teas from our local small business, Bird & Blend Tea & Co.

This will all be presented in a Lamazi Fabrics cotton tote bag. We cannot wait to see what you create with your Inspire bags! Remember to share your make and tag @lamazifabrics and #LamaziMakersClub for the chance to win a prize.
