Do you have a special garment in your wardrobe that you dream of recreating?
During this 1 Day Workshop our course tutor Sharlene will take you through the skills you need to recreate any garment in your wardrobe. During this workshop you will learn:
how to trace your garment to make a pattern and identify the main features and components of the pattern.
the key areas (or tricky parts) to watch out for such as darts, collars and facings,
how you will put your garment together from the pattern you create. We will then sew a toile of this pattern.
Depending on the difficulty of your chosen garment you may not finish your toile during the workshop, however we will make sure you have the necessary information required to complete your toile at home.
Experience: This workshop is aimed at those who have experience sewing and have a thorough understanding of how patterns are put together. It is a great introduction to the principles of pattern drafting.
Supplies: You will need to bring your own sewing machine and tools (scissors, pins, etc) and the garment you wish to recreate. You will be able to purchase haberdashery items, fabric and patterns on the day.
Calico andPattern paper will be provided.
Group size: There will be space for up to 6 people to attend this workshop.
Time:10am - 5pm including lunch break.
Location: Lamazi Fabrics Studio located in the centre of Horsham in West Sussex. We have parking available on site.
We will provide *tea/coffee and light snacks. You will need to provide your own lunch.

Payment: you have option to pay deposit to book your space or pay in full. If you pay deposit, you will be required to pay in full at least 1 week before the workshop. Deposit is non refundable but do get in touch if you will need to discuss.
